As in previous years, CLUB100 are pleased to announce that the Sprint ‘buddy driver’ concept will be utilised yet again for the coming season for both the LW and HW classes (not the Premier class). The 'buddy driver' system was set-up to help the new drivers that attended Sprint races for the first time. The idea was that a number of CLUB100 regulars would volunteer themselves to be available to assist new drivers with such subjects as the race formats, do’s and don’ts, advice on racing lines etc. They would also (hopefully!) forge long lasting friendships and help introduce the new drivers to other regular drivers in CLUB100. This has proved to be very successful and we therefore intend to continue the service this year.

A member of staff will personally introduce the buddy drivers on Sprint race days and assign a buddy to each of the new drivers. Rather than have pre-designated buddies within each class, we will just encourage regular drivers to volunteer their services on the day during the briefing thus sharing the activity over the course of the season.
